In July, in the midst of UK Olympic fever the BBC News Online featured Female Fighters on their website. 2012 was the first year in Olympic history to host  women’s boxing. The public reaction and support for this exciting, adrenaline fuelled sport was immense.

Female Fighters is an ongoing project started in 2011 and continuing today.

Amelia Shepherd received Arts Council England Funding for this project and produced an impressive, expansive and very well received installation during the Brighton Photo Fringe.

During the 6 week Brighton Photo Fringe installation audiences were directed to an exhibition landing page via social media, QR codes and flyers, encouraging participation in ‘poster-trail’ via a bespoke specially designed map.
